The New Testament has a lot to say about Jesus and who he was. It seems cliché to say “It is all about Jesus”, but in reality it is the truth. All of the Bible, both New and Old Testaments point to God who humbled himself and became a man. That Jewish man lived a perfect life and was crucified by Roman soldiers on a cross. He died, but did not remain dead and rose from the dead. His death is payment for our sin, but his resurrection is guarantee of the promise given to us.

John 14:8-9 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.
Luke 8:49-55 While he was still speaking, someone from the ruler’s house came and said, “Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more.” But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.” And when he came to the house, he allowed no one to enter with him, except Peter and John and James, and the father and mother of the child.
